I've never read any of them yet. I wonder if the library at home has them.
Am I missing something, or is AG phasing this line out because of the new historical line of mystery books? I only got around to reading one of these but really enjoyed it and had a few more on my list. I cant seem to find any of these books on the website
Ok, so I did a search and apparantly I missed the boat on AG ending this series. Although I kinda assumed that anyway since they hadnt come out with a new one in awhile. But how come you cant order them anymore? I mean, you can still buy kailey and Lindseys books so why cant they this series still available??

Heres what gets me though: I am really sick of AG just deciding to stop selling what they want without giving any of their customers any warning. I was sort of aware that they were not writing any new books, but I did not think they were going to suddenly stop publishing all of them. Its ridicoulus and a slap in the face to loyal customers. We should be given warning when a product will not be available after a certain amount of time.
American Girl started phasing these out last summer. They had all the History Mysteries book on sale including the hard cover ones. I made sure I purchased all of them last year while they were on sale and have only a few doubles. I caught them early starting in May and I still had to purchase one at amazon.
buy the books from amazon.com

they have them for a good price a set of 4.

Rach, my local used book stores always have a few copies. We have a great local chain that only take things in good condition. Let me know if you want me to look next time I'm at one.
I see them at my Borders and B&N stores a lot, too. Or you might want to send AG an email, they might still sell them over the phone. And Amazon is, of course, always a great choice.

has a list of, it looks like, all of them. Does anyone know if this is the full list? Some of them are listed under "used and new" for dirt cheap.
I hadn't even thought of the idea that the Historical's Mysteries might be at least part of the reason these were being phased out. I'm sure there are other reasons, too. These haven't beein the catalogues for such a long time, it's possible the people who wer buying them grew out of them, and the current AG 10 year olds just don't know they exist.

Our library had a few of them being discarded(!) , even though they were in really good shape. I was only able to get one but I am thinking they aren't popular at all.
I heard from one of the authors over the summer that the series was being discontinued. I was so glad I heard and was able to get all 22 books in time. Most of them are still available from Amazon or eCampus. There were two that had already sold out over the summer. I got the last two on eBay.
